CAC Business Hours: CAC normal business hours are Monday – Thursday 9AM-9PM, Friday – Saturday 9AM-5PM. Friday & Saturday evening and Sunday hours may be requested no less than seven days in advance.

Reservation Requests: Requests for space must be made to the attention of Stacie Smith in writing by email or by phone at 910-341-7860 no less than 2 business days in advance. We encourage that all requests be made as far in advance as possible. See Non-Profit use application.

Studio Assignments: Rooms are assigned on a first-come basis according to the number of people involved and the nature of the usage e.g. dance class requiring dance studio; music rehearsal requiring piano; art class requiring natural light.

Classroom Rental Use: Classroom space is available to instructors in the visual and performing arts during CAC BUSINESS HOURS. Daytime Rental Rates (10am-5pm) are $10 per studio per class within a 3 hour time block. Evening Rental Rates (5pm-9pm) are $15 per studio per class within a 2 hour time block. All classroom rentals requires a 30-day or ongoing contract or a $25 minimum fee.

Non-Profit Free Use: Non-profit organization can reserve studio space for meeting/rehearsal use at no charge depending on availability and if no admission, donation or fee of any kind is charged. These reservations only apply during CAC BUSINESS HOURS. A reservation does not guarantee a specific studio and the CAC reserves the right to cancel a reservation for any reason with a 48 hours advance notice. See Non-profit use application.

After Hour Fee: Studio rentals (including free non-profit reservations) will be available at the designated start time and not before. All studios must be vacated at the rental finish time (this includes all clean up). The Community Arts Center exterior doors will be locked promptly at the end of each business day or at the time the rental is scheduled to end. Failure to comply with rental start time and end time will result in a $15/hour charge that must be paid prior to any subsequent usage.

Cancellation Fee: Unless stated differently in your contract, all cancellations of classroom or free non-profit use reservations must be received 24 hours in advance to avoid paying the rental fee. All reservations that are canceled without 24 hours notice will result in a $15 cancellation fee due before any subsequent usage. This rule includes free non-profit reservations.

Lobby Use: The lobby is not available for rehearsal or class purposes.

Clean Up: The rooms must be left in an orderly condition after use with all trash disposed of in lobby trash cans and no personal items may be left in room overnight. The renter will be charged cleaning fee if rooms are not deemed satisfactory by CAC Director.

Storing Items: If you are both rehearsing and presenting your production at the CAC (on the Second Street Stage), you may store your props (but not scenery) at the CAC during your rehearsal period as designated on your contract. You may not store any items at the CAC without a signed contract and approval from the CAC Director.

End of Semester Recital: If you teach your class at the CAC you may use the 2nd Street Stage for an end of the semester showcase (limit 2 per calendar year). Free use of 2nd Street Stage only applies during CAC BUSINESS HOURS. Use of theatrical lighting and sound equipment is available by providing an approved technical supervisor or with the technical supervisor fee (4 hour minimum.) All recitals must be booked in advance and requires a contract. If you would like to book a recital outside CAC business hours, regular performance use rates will apply.
