Dear Edwina JR. is a heartwarming musical about the joys of growing up, from the creators of Junie B. Jones, The Musical. Dear Edwina JR. follows the adventures of plucky advice-giver-extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple, as she directs the neighborhood kids in a series of buoyant production numbers for the latest edition of her weekly “Advice-a-Palooza.” Edwina and her friends share wisdom on everything from trying new foods to making new friends, through clever, catchy and poignant songs.

COVID-19 Note: Due to NC Mandates, audience size will be limited to 25 patrons per show. Online streaming tickets will be available for the 2nd weekend.

Original Beatles Revue |January 22- 31, 2021

An original musical revue featuring hits by the Beatles! Come sing along to your favorite songs by the Fab Four with the talented TACT Youth Theatre performers.

Pinkalicious| March 5 – 14, 2021

Based on the best-selling book by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann, this cute musical tells the story of a little girl who is obsessed with pink. Though her parents warn her about the consequences of eating too many pink cupcakes, Pinkalicious doesn’t listen, and eventually she develops an affliction that turns her completely pink! This is a dream come true for Pinkalicious until her pink obsession begins to get out of control!

Disney’s Little Mermaid|April 23 – May 2, 2021

This classic tale about a mermaid who dreams of a life above the ocean is based on the 1989 Disney animated film and the 1837 story by Hans Christian Anderson. When Ariel the Little Mermaid falls in love with a human prince, she trades her beautiful voice to the evil Ursula for legs and a chance at true love. However, if the prince does not fall in love with her in three days, Ariel’s soul will belong to Ursula forever!

OUR MANAGEMENT

The Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center is owned by The City of Wilmington and managed by the staff of the Thalian Association Community Theatre, the Official Community Theater of North Carolina.

The Thalian Association is a non-profit, membership organization founded in 1788 to provide arts education and bring the excitement of the performing arts to Wilmington. The organization has its offices and holds auditions at the Community Arts Center. The Center also hosts the Thalian Youth Theatre classes and performances.

Parking Rates:

– Hourly: $2.00
– Daily: $13.00
