Exhibit featuring art by Wounded Warriors from Camp Lejeune to be on display at the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center in Wilmington, NC., August 5 – 21, 2016.

The unique creativity of Wounded Warriors from the Camp Lejeune area will be on display at the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center in Wilmington, from August 5th through August 21st to channel emotions that most of us will thankfully never have to experience. Co-sponsored by the Board of Directors for the Museum of the Marine and the USO, this exhibit represents a collective catharsis only made possible through the healing power of art and self-expression. Much of the art on display will be available for purchase via silent auction, the proceeds of which will be shared by the artists and the Museum of the Marine. The public is invited to the tour the exhibit; admission to the USO is free.

The mission of the Museum of the Marine is to memorialize the contributions of the Marines and Sailors who have served in the Carolinas since 1941 with the same level of honor and commitment as they so gallantly served our nation; and to fully appreciate the host communities who have stood side-by-side in support of them and their families.
