Thank you for your interest in joining the Community Arts Center’s staff! The Creative Arts Camp is seeking friendly, fun and enthusiastic individuals to assist with and/or teach week-long, full-day and half-day camps. Please read the camp descriptions for more details on all the themes. Creative Arts Camp focuses on visual and performing arts for all skill levels ages 4 and up. Please read qualifications carefully before applying.

BOSS Camp Instructor – 18+

BOSS Camp Instructors are experienced professionals who specialize in areas such as directing, music directing, choreography, or stage management. They are responsible for leading campers through a dynamic, high-quality production experience from start to finish.

Instructors must plan and prepare all materials necessary for rehearsals and performances, ensuring that each element of the production is organized, engaging, and polished. They also play a key role in creating a supportive environment, providing individual attention and guidance to help campers grow artistically and gain confidence on and off the stage.

Instructor – 18+ 

We’re looking for passionate and skilled professionals to serve as Instructors in their area of expertise at Creative Arts Camp. Instructors are responsible for leading their assigned camp session from start to finish, including preparing all necessary materials and planning engaging, creative lessons that contribute to a final showcase performance or presentation.

In this role, instructors are expected to foster a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages artistic growth and self-expression among campers. Active participation in all camp activities and personalized attention to campers are essential.

Note: Instructors must be available for the full duration of the camp week, including all final showcases.

Counselor – ages 16+ (prefer previous experience as jr. counselor)

Counselors play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day experience of campers and ensuring a positive, engaging, and creative environment. Under the direction of the Instructor, counselors assist in teaching, coordinating, and facilitating all camp activities — including class sessions, performances, setup, and cleanup.

In addition to supporting planned activities, counselors are expected to take initiative during downtime by leading games or creative activities not provided by the Instructor. They should also follow the lead of and anticipate the needs of the Instructor, by providing attentive guidance to campers throughout the day.

 

Jr. Counselor – ages 13+

Jr. Counselors support the smooth operation of camp by assisting with daily activities under the direction of the Instructor. Responsibilities include helping with setup, participating in classes, assisting with showcase rehearsals and performances, and contributing to cleanup efforts.

Jr. Counselors are expected to actively participate in all activities, serve as positive role models, and help ensure all campers feel included, supported, and engaged.

Note: Jr. Counselors must be able to commit to the full duration of a camp week
