Camp Descriptions (Ages 10-14)

Old Pros Series – Full and Half Day Camps (9 AM – 4 PM)

What to Expect:

Join the “Old Pros” in these week long specialized camps taught by local professionals. Each camp will focus on specific topics to help your young actor or artist develop their skills and foster their passion. Each week there will be a theme to guide the activities, crafts, scenes, scripts, songs and games for that week of camp. Full day campers will be able to experience two themes in one day for a double dose of fun. Morning camps have a theater arts focus and afternoon camps work with visual arts. Final Showcase on Fridays for every camp!

Tuition Costs

  • Full Day Enrollment (9am-4pm)—$195/week
  • Morning or Afternoon only (9am-Noon or 1pm-4pm)—$100/week

Show and Share Friday:

Each Friday there will be a final showcase for family and friends to attend for all of the morning camps. The “show and share” will be a variety of music numbers, dance routines, rehearsed skits/scenes, art exhibits etc. Morning and Afternoon camps will have their own showcase.

Week 1: June 16-20, 2025

Magical Muggles – FULL DAy 9am-4pm –This unique immersive experience will be for us creative muggles ready to learn some magic! Step into platform 9 ¾ and travel to Hogwarts where we will make wands, play quidditch, craft potions, and get sorted into Houses. This full day camp will have both a performance and visual art component that is perfect for all skill levels and Harry Potter knowledge. Let the magic begin! $15 Supply Fee

 

Week 2: June 23-27, 2025

Film Camp: LET’S Make a Movie – 9am – NOON – Let’s make a movie! This week campers will learn all the basics of filming a short film. We will storyboard our project and then write, act, and film our own short movie! The short film will be featured on the Thalian association YouTube Channel.

Orange Street Pottery Camp – 1 – 4pm –Campers will learn the basics of pottery in this afternoon visual arts camp! All campers will create their very own completed piece of pottery that will be available for pick up 2 weeks after the conclusion of the camp.  Supply fee of $10.

 

Week 3: July 7-11, 2025

Center Stage – 9am- Noon – Whether you dream of being a prima ballerina, famous dancer, or auditioning for a TV show this camp is for you. You will learn how to choreograph dances and perform on Friday at our Show & Share.

Art Through The Ages – 1-4pm – Spend the week learning how different time periods changed the styles of art. We will have an art gallery on display for friends and family to see all our work.

 

Week 4: July 14-18, 2025

Improv with ReiCal– 9am- Noon – You will learn some of the core fundamentals and principles of improv, focusing on various games and exercises that encourage trust, communication, agreement (“yes and”); active listening, character, status, and making your scene partner look good. Through Improv education, students will achieve personal growth and self-confidence that will help them to excel in other areas. Improv is a great tool to enhance skills in working with others, problem-solving, developing confidence, and a creative style.

Art Under The Sea – 1-4pm – Spend the week doing all kinds of under the sea art projects. Using sand, water, and anything else you can find under the sea! We will have an art gallery on display for friends and family to see all our work.

 

Week 5: July 21-25, 2025

Star Power– 9am-Noon – Spend the week being the star of the show! We will create our own mini concert for the show and share on Friday to some of our favorite songs and artists!

Mystery Solvers – 1-4pm – Who did it? That is the question. Join us on a fun week of camp participating in solving different investigations, escaping rooms, creating/solving puzzles, completing scavenger hunts, and so much more! Put those sleuth hats on, grab your notepad and pencil, and let’s solve this mystery!

 

Week 6: July 28-August 1, 2025

Disney Villian Spotlight – 9am- Noon – Dance and sing to all your favorite Disney songs, act out your favorite scenes from Disney classics, and learn musical numbers from current Broadway Disney Musicals!

Behind the curtains – 1-4pm – this week at camp is all about being behind the scenes. Campers will spend each day learning a new skill from a professional in their field. Projects may include costume sketching, wig designs, make-up designs, and set designs. There will be no sewing taught during this week.   – $10 supply fee

 

Week 7: August 4-8, 2025

Broadway Stars – 9am-Noon – Young performers will spend one week developing acting and singing skills through exercises, character studies and role playing. Plus learn choreography from your favorite musicals like Newsies, Annie, Wicked, Mamma Mia, & more!

Art Around the World in 5 days – 1-4pm – Students will journey to various destinations around the world as students create art inspired by different cultures. If you like adventure and travel don’t miss out on the trip of a lifetime exploring the different continents through the eyes of art.

 

 

Week 8: August 11-15, 2025

FRACTURED FAIRYTALES – 9am- Noon – This camp is for kids with lots of CHARACTER! This week we will learn character development, practice voice and body language, and even talk in accents! Campers will use classic fairytale elements to create their own happily (or maybe unfortunately) ever after.

 Storybook Art Camp – 1-4pm – Students will journey to various destinations around the world as students create art inspired by different cultures.
