Displaying in the Community Gallery
Community Gallery Exhibitions
The HBHUSO/Community Arts Center invites all artists to apply for a special exhibition in the Community Gallery. The Gallery is available at no cost for local artists to display their artwork for up to one month. With the natural light and high ceilings this unique space is waiting to be filled with original work!
Artists must complete an Exhibition proposal. Each proposal must include:
- An Artist Statement, a short narrative which describes and identifies the artistic purpose of the exhibition
- A short biography
- 15-20 images of completed work; each image must include titles, dates, dimensions, and mediums
The HBHUSO/CAC Management reserves the right to:
- Refuse or remove work that it deems a hazard to the facility or its guests
- Reject work at installation if that work is markedly different from that proposed
- Refuse or restrict placement of work that it deems inappropriate for family audiences
Requests for exhibition are reviewed by Community Arts Center Management. Exhibitions will be promoted on the Community Arts Center social media, website, and monthly e-newsletter. The artist may rent space for an opening reception.
