Logan Hayes – Assistant Camp Director / Logan is super excited to be back this summer at Creative Arts Camp! He was born and raised in Wilmington, NC, where he quickly fell in love with the arts in the community. Logan grew up dancing and acting since the age of 4 and is now in his 11th year of teaching dance. You may have seen Logan in many different shows around town with Thalian Association and Opera House Theatre Co. The arts is a huge passion of his and he cannot wait to share his love of creativity with everyone this summer.

Sydney Smith Martin / Instructor & Summer Camp Intern: is a first time instructor for TACT academy but a professional in all things theatre and performing arts! She trained at The Institute of American Musical Theatre in NYC and has an Associates Degree in Visual Arts. She has been in numerous local Wilmington productions and has been an avid entertainer since the age of 3. Sydney is a firm believer, and living proof, that a good theatre community can help a person shine and be their whole true self from head to toe, inside and out! She is incredibly grateful and excited to have the opportunity to work with young professionals from all walks of life and help them fall further in love with all things performing!

Riley Moore / Instructor & Counselor – I’m currently a freshman at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida! I’m majoring in film and have worked for the CAC Summer Camp program for the past 4 years. I love working with the campers and teaching them about the arts, because I’m passionate about the same thing!

Susie Lukens / Instructor: Ms. Susie is a return instructor and long-time fan of the Creative Arts Camps and the Thalian Association. She is a Pre-K teacher in New Hanover county, and looks forward to working with the Munchkins this summer as we learn about theater, movement, visual arts, and musical expression. Before she became a teacher, she was an actress and singer in college and high school. Music and theater have always been an important part of how she expresses herself and connects with her family and friends, and she is excited to build those connections with kiddos at Creative Arts Camp this year!

Jai McQuiston / Instructor & Counselor: is a film studies Major at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He is a videographer recording interviews and Music Videos at Saint John’s Episcopal. Jai has a weekly job working on set as a one man army. During the summer of 2021 Jai entered a contest for Netflix where he showcased his Director of Photography and Camera Operating skills in a short film “The refugee” which he later won in 2021. Jai also won an award in 2022 by UNCW’s “Teal TV” for best Cinematography.

Lilly Goddard / Instructor & Counselor – Is delighted to be returning to Creative Arts Camp for her second year! Recent years, Lilly has had the privilege to work alongside some of Wilmington’s best in many exciting endeavors. Lilly made her Thalian Association directing debut with Descendants the Musical (2022). She has also been a part of many community productions such as: Dogfight, Something Rotten, and A Christmas Story. Lilly has a strong passion for both performing and technical aspects of theatre and has been so honored to get to explore both. Lilly loves serving her community and working with younger kids who dream big.

Caroline Stuart / Instructor: My name is Caroline but people call me Topsy, I am 24 and work as a freelance curator. I have been an artist since childhood and have developed my skills both professionally and recreationally over the past 20 years, focusing in digital arts and printmaking. I collect dolls and other toys, and while I know I come off as dark and serious in professional settings, I enjoy making others laugh and smile. Right now I am working on getting my Bachelor’s in Art History at UNCW so I can become a gallery curator. My favorite color is pink and my favorite type of music is New Wave.
