As a former camper, she knows how special Creative Arts Camp is and how impactful it can be in a campers life. Her goal for camp is to help each and every camper find the confidence to be themselves and use their voice. Logan Hayes – Assistant Camp Director | Logan is super excited to be back this summer at Creative Arts Camp! He was born and raised in Wilmington, NC, where he quickly fell in love with the arts in the community. Logan grew up dancing and acting since the age of 4 and is now in his 11th year of teaching dance. You may have seen Logan in many different shows around town with Thalian Association and Opera House Theatre Co. The arts is a huge passion of his and he cannot wait to share his love of creativity with everyone this summer. | |
Reagan Blackburn – Summer Intern | Reagan is beyond excited to be back for her second summer at camp! A recent graduate of East Carolina University, Reagan moved back to Wilmington and rediscovered her love of helping the community through the power and unity of theatre. After stage managing two shows this youth season and two shows last summer, she loved helping kids discover the power of their voice and body through art — and this summer is no different!

Cam Phillips – Counselor | I spent half days at camp during summer 2023 and had a blast. My family and I have been involved at TACT for 7 years now and have grown to love the people and the environment. I loved hanging out with the campers and I feel that I created great bonds with some of the kids throughout the summer! |

Nick Steigerwald – Counselor | was a camper himself, but now after two years of being a junior, he is ready to move up to a fully fledged counselor. He is so excited to use the skills he has learned on the stage to help out all the newcomers to camp, and he can’t wait for the summer to start! | |
Rebecca Deese – Counselor | is a rising senior in high school, lifelong performer, and two time Jr. Counselor at Creative Arts Camp. With nearly a decade of youth theatre experience at Hannah Block under her belt, Rebecca hopes to help other young people find a passion in performing arts. Abie McKinney – Counselor | Has been doing shows at Thalian since Children of Eden in 2022 and was a Jr Counselor last year and had been doing shows in general since 6th grade. Abie loved playing the violin, playing videogames, and hanging out with friends. | |
Ana Harman – Counselor | is a 16 year old junior at Laney High School. Her love for theater developed on a trip to NYC in middle school and soon became a part of her high school theater program during freshman year. Some of her favorite shows are Beetlejuice, Mean Girls, and Into the Woods. Ana lives with my mom, step dad, and step brother and love my two dogs, Daisy and Bruno. | |
Kai Davis – Counselor | Kai is in their Sophomore year and attending New Hanover Highschool. Kai has been working with Thalian Association Community Theater for nearly 5 years now and is honored by every opportunity I receive from them. Kai has also attended camp every year for 5 years and is ready to be on the other side of the table this year! | |

Riley Moore – Instructor | is a sophomore at Ringling College of Art and Design based in Sarasota, FL. She’s a film major with a photography minor and loves to spend her free time doing headshots and family photos! She grew up with the Thalian community, participating in various shows spanning over 10 years, up until she graduated. This year marks her 6th working with the Creative Arts Camp and she couldn’t be more excited to meet the campers! |

Ivy Pfeffer – Instructor & Counselor | Ivy Pfeffer is a rising sophomore at UNCC who has always loved theatre and working with kids of all ages. Lilly Goddard – Instructor & Counselor | Born and raised right here in Wilmington, North Carolina. Lilly Goddard is a freshmen at UNCW studying towards her degree! She has been in the Theater Community for some time now. At 22 Lilly has Directed, Choreographed, and Stage Managed a number of shows the past few years and also performed on many stages around Wilmington as well. She’s worked at the Creative Arts Summer Camp the past 2 years and has loved every second of doing what she loves. In her free time she enjoys cooking, playing with her dogs, and spending time with her family and friends!

Meghan McDonald – Instructor | Meghan McDonald is a recent UNCW graduate with degrees in Theatre Performance and Communication Studies. Originally from Cumberland, Rhode Island, she now is an active member of the Wilmington theatre and film communities as an actor. When not in rehearsals, she enjoys cooking, watching movies, and hanging with her cat!

Samantha Childers – Instructor | Samantha Childers earned her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Elon University in 2018, graduating with honors- Magna Cum Laude and is the Choral Director at North Brunswick High School in Leland, North Carolina. She was named as the NBHS Rookie Teacher of the 2019-2020 school year. With licensure in K-12 general, orchestra, band, and choral music education, her passion and concentration is teaching middle and high school ensemble choral music, as well as private vocal and piano lessons. Samantha has extensive experience in Musical Theater in addition to classroom music, acting as a Music Director for Youth and Apprentice Programs, including Town of Cary’s Applause! Youth Theater, Opera House Theater Company, Snow Productions, and Thalian Association Community Theater. Samantha is a classically trained pianist and vocalist. She teaches private voice and piano lessons through ‘Breathe? Speak?…SING!!!’ vocal studio. She has completed 10 years of the National Piano Guild Competitions and placed 3rd in her Regional National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition. Samantha is a member of multiple honors, service, and music organizations, including Phi Kappa Phi, Kappa Delta Pi, Tau Beta Sigma, and the National Association for Music Educators.

Gracyn Strickland – Counselor | Gracyn Strickland is so excited to be a counselor at the Creative Arts Camp. She just finished her senior year at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts High School with a concentration in Classical Voice. Next year, she’s planning to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She’s participated in several Thalian Association Youth shows, including Children of Eden (Eve/Mama Noah) and Descendants (Maleficent). Last summer, she performed as Thea in Spring Awakening with Opera House Theatre Company. As a camp counselor, she hopes to share her love for the arts with each and every one of the campers! |

Sydney Smith Martin – Instructor | Sydney Smith Martin has performed and/or been involved in over 50 productions across the stages of Wilmington, NC. She was awarded a scholarship to attend the Institute of American Musical Theatre in 2018 and received formal training in acting, singing and dancing there. She finds immense joy in performing and teaching various classes to all age groups around town. Working for Creative Arts Camp is her favorite Summer pastime.

Ella Goddard – Counselor | Hi everybody! My name is Ella. I am currently a rising sophomore at UNC Wilmington majoring in Criminology with a minor in Cybersecurity. I have been involved in theatre since I was 5 years old and as I have gotten older, I have become passionate about working with kids! Although this is my first time working summer camp with Thalian, I have worked many’s summers at sports camp and Vacation Bible School! Perry Kim – Counselor & Instructor | Perry Kim is a returning staff member at the CAC. She is a Young Scholar with the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation and has been involved in musical theatre for 9 years working with both Thalian Association and Opera House Theatre Company. Eliza Johnston – Counselor | Eliza Johnston (they/them) is an aspiring costume designer and creative individual. They strive to push boundaries and create art without limits. Eliza also finds inspiration from many varying sounded, including historical fashion. They have worked both in youth, community, and professional theaters and are currently pursuing an Associates in Fine Arts Theater at Cape Fear Community College. While Eliza’s aspirations remain deeply rooted in theater, they peruse a future that encompasses a diverse range of artistic endeavors. With their determination, effort, and unyielding love for their craft, Eliza dreams of pushing boundaries, collaborating with a wide range of creative individuals, and creating memorable costumes that leave a lasting impression on audiences worldwide. |

AmyJayne Williams – Instructor | Amy-Jayne Williams is the theatre teacher at North Brunswick High School in Leland, North Carolina heading into her third year of teaching this upcoming year.
